Catholic Voting Guide
“All support should be withdrawn from any organizations which seek to undermine the teaching of the Church, which are ambiguous about it, or which neglect it entirely. Such support, or even the semblance of such support, can be gravely misinterpreted.” (#17)

As we approach the 2024 elections here in the United States, Americans are looking at the policies of candidates and discerning how they will vote this November. For Catholic Americans, this decision may be a grave one — quite literally — as many of the policies set on the table by certain candidates involve grave matters according to the Catholic Church.
But what does that really mean? And why is it important?
According to the Catholic Church, grave or serious matters are criteria for mortal sin. What’s more, the rejection or denial of even one article of the faith will make a person a heretic and guilty of mortal sin (according to the Baltimore catechism Q. 1171).
Why is this important? Because according to the Catholic Church, the consequence of unrepented mortal sin is eternal separation from God. (CCC #1861 and 1874) Therefore, Catholics must consider candidates carefully.
“For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world and lose his own soul?”(Matthew 16:26)
Today, more than ever before, the Holy Spirit is summoning the more than 52 million Catholic (adult) Americans — and all Christians — in the words of Saint Paul who said we must “demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God and… take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ. (2 Corinthians 10:5)
It is not just our country that is at stake, but souls. Therefore, I encourage all Catholics and Christians to visit CatholicVotingGuide.info for details on the grave issues up for vote this November.
